Molly Cleaver (b. 1995) is a process-based artist from the Black Country, currently making work in expanded painting by reworking materials and domestic objects as a form of staged painting. She actively considers her site and curatorial handling of all parts of her work, including collaboration.

During her final project on her master’s degree, Cleaver has focused on how the structure of her work can play a role in the gesture of her paintings. Inspired by the relationships between colour and shape, she often produces work in response to already existing objects, which has opened up new collaborative experiences in her recent practice.
